April and Jon's ceremony was June 28, 2008 at the Trinity Lutheran
Church in Decatur, Illinois.
April worked in the church for several years, and it was special for them to have their wedding there. I hadn't had the honor of shooting a wedding in this church before and was pleasantly surprised at how gorgeous it was! I always get excited by the different churches as each one has unique places for photographs and this one didn't disappoint!!!

I really like this shot of April!
I loved the floor to ceiling stained glass windows!! As soon as I saw the cute flip-flops that April and her bridesmaids has decorated up for themselves - I just knew I had to put them in front of one of the windows. Of course the bride and bridesmaids and the bride and groom had to be photographed in front of it too (-:
We had some fun with the bridesmaids. I am always looking for high spots in the churches for these type of images. I find the bride and bridesmaids tend to have a more natural smiles - I supposed because they feel silly looking up (-:
The shoes worked so well in front of the window, I just
knew that we needed to get the bride and groom in front of it.
I got the bride and groom to take a walk with me. The exterior of the church was really beautiful too.
My favorite of the whole day is a 'grab' shots - I just happened to spot April and Jon in a close moment after they signed their marriage certificate. I love these kind of shots - they seem more real, rather than 'staged'
April and Jon - Your big day was fun to witness - thanks for letting me be a part of it! I enjoyed working with you and all of your friends and family members. Here are more of my favorite shots.
I felt honored to be chosen to document Charlotte and Scott's wedding
day on the 7th of June. It was held inside of the Allerton
Mansion near Monticello, Illinois. The mansion was gorgeous!!!

The flower girl was a darling, I loved her gloves. She looked like a little 'mini' bride!
Charlotte's dress was the most beautiful color. I couldn't believe how well it matched the decor of the bridal suite in the Mansion.
This is a little twist on the usual shots of the bride's shoes, I found the groom's boots and couldn't resist!
The ceremony was held in the Allerton Mansion Hall. What a unique and beautiful place for a wedding!
The cake topper was awesome. The cowboy/cowgirl statue was the perfect topper for
After the ceremony and before dinner was served Charlotte and Scott lounged for a moment in this beautiful circular room. Wood and windows - it was the perfect spot to get a few shots of them together. This few minutes gave me my favorite images of the day. I feel like the shots from this room really showed the couple's personalities. I really love the one below!! I really had a great time documenting their day!
